Education Rajasthan state has 13.20 lakh shool drop-out children of 6 - 14 years age group according to the survery report 2013-14 of "Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan" of the government of Rajasthan. It is a terrible figure of school drop-outs. Besides that the election commission has declared that one must pass minimum 8 th standard for the candidancy of Panchayat elections. This declaration has increased the importance of education more. As per sensex 2011, the state has 67.41 literacy rate which is not so good and the rate shows illiteracy and backwardness in the state.
